Through all of those products, I have had minimal complaints, if any.
I have been the best kind of customer a company can have - the kind that keeps coming back, and who recommends your products to others. I have at least four other friends that bought UE BOOM series speakers based on my recommendation, as well. I got my dad hooked on Logitech products, too, and he has a G700, a set of Z2300 speakers, a Logitech webcam, a Logitech iPad keyboard, a Logitech travel mouse, a Logitech office keyboard, among other things. I've also recommended Logitech products to my friends and family.

I don't think that gives my opinion any extra weight, but I say it to make clear that I have truly been a loyal customer, and this software is so bad, that for the first time in over 20 years, I'm looking at other brands because of the terrible experience I'm having with G Hub. All it needed was a new coat of paint.įor what it's worth, I have been a lifelong Logitech customer. Its predecessor already had the fundamentals nailed down. I'm filling out the survey now, and I truly hope that Logitech actually plans to improve this software in the future. The whole process is just so unnecessarily complex! And it's incredibly frustrating to someone who knows that it could be done better, and that it HAS been done better, by Logitech themselves. You can only add more commands to it you can't change the commands that are in the macro. And if you make a mistake, you have to delete it and start all over again. Whereas in G Hub, you have to go through an involved multi-step process to create a macro, and you have to set custom delays in-between key-ups and key-downs, and the whole process takes many times longer than it did in LGS. It was sooo straightforward in LGS: you selected the button you wanted to customize, you clicked "Assign New Command", you typed your key combo, and you clicked "OK". I don't see why it was necessary to go spend minutes creating a macro, when using Logitech's own existing Logitech Gaming Software, I could create a key combo within seconds. All I needed was "Ctrl + Tab" and "Ctrl + Shift + Tab" - that's it. Macros have their place, but surely someone at Logitech must be aware that a key combo could be created much simply than creating a macro with custom key-ups and key-downs and specific time intervals. I looked through the software and then searched online and came to the conclusion that the only way to create a key combo is to create a macro. Why on earth is it so complicated just to create a simple key combo? I wanted to create key combos for my Desktop Profile so that I could switch back and forth between tabs in web browsers. I'm a pretty advanced user, and I find the process of using G Hub to customize my mouse to be incredibly complicated.

I decided it was time to upgrade and got a G604, which uses G Hub. My main mouse for the past several years has been a G700s, which uses Logitech Gaming Software. I've been using Logitech peripherals almost exclusively since the 90's.
